New Year, New Possiblities

Sooooo, my semester has ended and I am half way through my winter break, which should be my last but isn't. I had a good semester. OTHER then bio, ugh. no words can express my anger towards being forced to take gen ed courses. waste of time and money i say so myself.

whats new:
I got a job, not one but TWO! for next semester. The first one i sought out to work with an after school program for inner city kids called dream camp, i am going to be a mentor...cool and i get to work with my friend and teamate lindsay.

...next. I got offered a job at Germantown Academy to be an art assistant. after spending my whole semester there just observing my teacher offered me the job. i was psyched! i am super excited to start working and earning money while learning a plethora of knowledge i may not get when i student teach! =)

and last but not least i have decided to officially start my own photography business. tessa siewert photography. i have made a website http://www.wix.com/tessaleigh123/photography check that out. and i have also made an official facebook page for myself. I have taken maternity photos for my brothers friends and they turned out great, i am in the process of editing them at the moment. but i ahve also recieved inquiries about weddings and have been asked to do some friends head shots for musical purposes. so i am really excited that i am slowly getting my feet wet in the photography business.

needless to say 2011 is going to be amazing. at least the start is. i cant believe all the opportunities i have been given already. i feel like my life is just falling into place. all my time and effort and patience is finally starting to pay off. i plan to stay positive and hope that 2011 is just as good as 2010 was.

MUMFORD AND SONS concert

just saw mumford and sons in concert last night at the electric factory....so AMAZING. best concert i have been too. the jammed out they rocked out put on a great show. love them, love their lyrics, love their sound..woooooooo i wish it didnt end!

hello blog, i'm back

WOW IT HAS BEEN WAY TO LONG! umm last time i got on this thing i was in my senior year of high school...now i am in my 4th year of college....wow how time fly's by! so i think im going to try and do illustration friday again and start posting my art on here. plus now i and anyone who wants to check this out can see how much i have changed as an artist and how i have developed these last 4 years, i gotta say, i am a different artist!!!! uhhh so here's a resent painting i did...
